Events
The Mango Festival: a day of fun, education, community, and good tastes, celebrates the short season of mango abundance. The event includes activities for all age groups, story telling, “smell and name the mango”, best mango chow, best mango display and mango eating competitions. The members of the Network will have on sale tasty mango products, from the sweet: jellies, pastries, drinks, ice creams – to the spicy: chows, pickles, marinades, and for the exotic: beauty products and culinary innovations. Persons are invited to register for competitions, for vending and for fun and educational exhibits. Registration forms are available at the FAO Office in Port of Spain, at the IICA Office in St. Augustine.
Registration closes on Monday 10 August 2009.
Just how good are you exactly?
Is the force with you?
Seriously now…?
You can come and participate: mango eating; best mango chow; “smell and name” the mango events; mango storytelling in the kids’ corner; purchase mangoes and mango products; volunteer with event operations (e.g. support judges, help exhibitors, organize kids’ events, and there is always clean-up).
Mmmmmm….yummy!
